Is it bad to run my GPU Fan at 100 percent 24/7?

Thread Starter
Is it bad to run it at 100 percent 24/7........keeps the temps lower and im not a sound freak. The case runs pretty loud..........Would it harm the GPU to run 24/7 @ 100 percent? Got a EVGA GTX 550TI. Look forward to some responses.

Nah, might hurt your ears tho.

You will cause more wear and tear on the fans, but they wont fail anytime soon. You will hear the bearings go before they die. They are rated at 12v anyway.

at idle the core down clocks so there is really no reason to have the fan 100%

At 100% 24/7, Your fan should last you 2-3 Years, But by that time, your GPU would die first if it's 100% usage for 24/7

I can't survive with my fans at 100% 24/7. But if the temps ain't overkill high, there's not really a need for 100% 24/7 is there?

The bearings on my antec 900 200 MM rattles when it first starts up for like 15 mins........thinking of RMAing but i heard its a pain to reinstall the 200 MM........The rattle is so annoying and its been happening since i bought it. But i leave my rig on 24/7 and it stays quiet unless i turn it off and on.
