Why does Crysis 2 not work well with AMD? - Page 4

im having major issues. crossfire doesnt even work for crysis 2 for me! worked fine with my 5830 CF but not with 6870 CF. meh its probably something i gotta fix. not blaming crytek...yet.

thats not their fault. its a fault in the engine.
crysis 1 did the same thing. if there is one speck of water, it will cover the whole map in it. its a problem with the engine!

+1 dropping to 1680x1050 netted me a roughly 25-30% frame boost on all ultra dx11 compared to native 1080p. Now i dont drop to below 20 fps but on heavily tessellated areas (read near walls and pavements) i get low 20s fps. Rest of the time its in the 40s.

Point is setting objects to extreme disables tessellation and the game doesnot look as good so anybody whos claiming not having problems running crysis 2 maxed out on a 6850 or a 6870 are all BS. Either they are playing on dx9 all ultra or they are dropping objects to extreme or disabling tessellation at CC.
