Is this i5-760 OC good to go?

Thread Starter
Core i5-760
ASRock P55 Extreme4
G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3-1333 7-7-7-21

I've got my CPU running at 4.0GHz (200x20) with 1.376v core voltage (working on lowering this). I ran Prime95 blend all night with no errors. I've never really been sure as to what to set VTT. I have it at 1.22v right now because that's what my BIOS calls "standard" for VTT. I've heard conflicting reports that the Intel-recommended maximum for VTT is 1.21v and that it's 1.4v.

DRAM is at 1.5v and stock timings (7-7-7-21). Slightly underclocked at 1200 MHz.

Temperatures are all fine with Hyper 212+.

So should this be considered a successful 4GHz overclock?

That's some really high volts for 4.0ghz. I would work on lowering that for sure. most can hit 4.0 on less than 1.3.

If he's shooting for a stable overclock that voltage isn't high at all. No, Prime95 doesn't make your system stable. I doubt anyone gets over 4.0ghz with 1.3 Vcore that can actually pass LinX/OCCT linpack.

Run Memtest and LinX/Linpack. Overnight if possible.

I5 760 prefers a 21x multi and those voltages are fine
