1100T Temp issues?

Thread Starter
I put together a new computer a week or so ago and have been having issues with core temps. I have a 1100T six core and at idle it is at 35-38C (room temp 25-28C) at full load it bounces between 60-65C. I have a Corsair H60 water cooling system/ I thought I might not be drawing enough air so I upgraded to two scythe 117CFM fans in a push/pull with no change at all. I'm wondering if the pump is bad? or maybe this processer just runs that hot? I am running stock settings and would love to overclock it but at these temps I don't dare. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I am running an h60 on my 955BE overclocked to 3.68 and I am running about the same temps =/ I was thinking about upgrading the fans myself because I am not very happy with the stock fan. I did post a few days ago about how the stock fan only runs at 1800 and I didn't feel like it was pulling/pushing enough air through the radiator.

Thats a bit high considering the max temps for these CPUs is 62 Celcius. Your idling temps are fine but your full load temps are a bit too high. Try putting the stock cooler on and see if that makes any difference. I get cooler temps you do with my stock cooler on my X4. Did you apply thermal grease? Make sure everything is tight and the contact between your cooling system and the CPU is secure.

I'd be interested to know if that makes any diffrence to you. Like I said the jump from one 75CFM fan to two 117CFM fans made no diffrence at all for me unless you count the extra noise from the fans.

i vote for reseating the block/using stock cooler ..maybe clean the surfaces and try some new thermal grease

I applied a generous amount of artic silver thermal paste (and made sure to clean the crap that comes on the H60 cooler off) to make sure that I woulden't have problems there. I still can't belive that idle temps are running 10C above room temp my old 550 x2 would only be 3-4C above using the crappy stock cooler and that was over clocked to 3.8.

When I installed my H60 on my CPU, I was surprised at how far you had to tighten the screws. I didn't want to overtighten the block and damage the CPU. Could this have an effect? I used Arctic Silver Ceramique and I didn't skimp by any means.

I just tried reseating the block and it shut down due to over heating before it got to bois. after that I tried the stock cooler (louder than an out-door rock concert in case anyone was wondering) and idle temps seem to be about the same 100% load temps are between 52-55C after 15 minuets on prime 95 which are better but I'd like to see those temps after I O/C not before plus this noise is driving me CRAZY!!!! So I'm thinking that the pump may be bad on the H60 cooler myself (great now I get to deal with customer service)

NH-D14 > H60 (and it's quiet too)

I'm at max load temps of 45c, IF its really hot up here.

Your H60 temps are pretty high..

The "crap" that comes with the h60 is by far one of the best TIMs... anyways back on topic.

did you plug in the pump to the 3 pin cpu fan header? have you checked if it gives a reading that it's running? the pump is supposed to run at around 1400rpm you might want to check that out. Also might want to get the screws tighter it might not be making the best contact with the cpu. hope the suggestions help.
