Msi 785gt-e65 mb

Thread Starter
I may have screwed up, maybe someone can set me straight. I just ordered a 3 core AM3 socket CPU to put in an MSI 785GT-E65 MB. I know the MB is classed for an AM2+ chip, but I read somewhere a few days ago that an AM2+ board would run an AM3 chip with no problems. I don't as yet have the CPU in hand, so I haven't tried it yet.
Help!!!

There is support for Athlon II x3 and Phenom II x3 processors, according to the website.
