I found Dragon Age Origins very fun. Maybe your mind is not that creative... Just saying.

I thought it was boring at first, namely because I only played shooters and never played a rpg game before. Only reason I picked it up was because some people here recommended it.

I really like the game play once I got the hang of it. Graphics are smooth and really look amazing IMO. This is one of those games that will last me a very long time. I bought the Ultimate Edition for $23. I could have waited for a really cheap sale but I think the game is worth more than $23 that's for sure. Find myself playing this game more than BC2.

I feel like a nerd when I play it, but at least I'm not going to Star Wars Conventions....yet. Actually I really want to go to one...who is with me

The game is about tactics and leveling, I really enjoyed playing on nightmare setting and having to use potions poisons and runes to scrape through the dungeons. I also loved finding the best weapons and armor and collecting everything and got some kicks screwing Morrigan and Liliana triangularly (I actually do get real girls too ) but the fun thing about bioware romances is that require at least some effort

You don't have to like it xD (but I can't blame you for feeling sorry for the wasted money).

I didn't like GTA IV.. but liked most other games.. Not ripping on it though.

I found the game quite fun, but I thought that Mass Effect 1 and 2 were overrated. If you want a much superior RPG though, I'd go for The Witcher 2. The Witcher 2 is just amazing.

15 Hours i officially quit playing.

The gameplay mechanics are too simplistic. They should've stuck with the d20 system instead :/

Otherwise its a good game, but Baldurs Gate was a time where gameplay was the most important matter of all... they NAILED it with that game, it was exciting, awesome storyline and characters seemed too pull you into their universe, but those days are long gone.
I don't see why they had to be. If they did it once they can repeat the mold. It was in development in, what, 7 years?

I thought it was a good game but not a great game. Over it I'd have taken a HD remake of Baldur's Gate, i.e.. same game with the old graphics re-rendered at high resolution and with better textures--oh what I wouldn't do for that! I think it would sell well, too.

My first playthrough of DA to the end was a nightmare solo, and it was pretty easy to break the game after the first 10 levels, with a few exceptions (but nipple-freezingly hard before that, esp. that bloody ogre and avoiding his insta-kill). God knows what I would have accomplished if using my party. The story was a huge letdown. The plot is laid out for you after Flemmeth rescues you from the tower of ishal and plays out almost exactly as outlined with scarcely a twist. Stick your sword through the arch-demon, THE END.

Also DLC content really sucks. Equipment is a centerpiece of the game balance and it either makes you underpowered if you don't buy the extra eq unlocks, or overpowered if you do.

The real problem was the lack of intricacy of the side-quests and lack of exploration. Baldur's Gate 2 gave you places to explore; Dragon Age gives you places to walk through. As far as I can recall every sidequest in Dragon Age was mercenary work. BG2 had so much more and so much more to do. It was a living breathing world. In Dragon Age when you visit a place that isn't on your main mission path you feel like the level is designed as if you are not meant to be there but on your main mission... all the doors that go nowhere, the lack of occupants, etc. It's not a living, breathing city, just a background.

I play WRPG/JRPG's too and enjoyed Bioware's other games (KOTOR, Mass Effect and such) but Dragon Age...damn, this game was an absolute yawn-fest, i cannot believe i actually managed to complete the game, i paid around £20 for it too so just kept dragging myself through it hoping it'd get better, but it never did, boring beyond belief.
