Maak's Planned Build - Page 2

1. I cant imagine those cards fitting without having SERIOUS heat issues. you are seriously restricting the potential for those. and im 90% sure those video cards do not unlock as the "bios switch" really just allows the other input plugins in the back of the card to work. very high chance that you'll brick the cards.

2. water cool that system!

I'm just going to keep it real with you man, a 10 thousand dollar should only exist if you ARE NOT gonna play games with it haha. That thing should be a work horse meant for doing multiple tasks and doing some serious GFX processing.

Now, with all things aside I pray that it is not for gaming and for something else, because if it happens to be for games then you should spend like 2.5k on something until the new stuff comes out, because I will be again.. "REAL" with you . Building a computer right now is the worst time because all the new stuff will drop very soon, which sucks a lot and leaves you with very few options.

This is all up to you, but I am wondering... if you have 10 thousand dollars to spend on a computer... why did you come here at all? tongue.gif When you can spend money like that I trust you know what you are doing smile.gif

I updated right before you posted stating that I was waiting to see what any new releases bring about (gpu, cpu, motherboard, chipset, etc)...the 3 cards I listed initially wouldn't fit or if they did it would be barely...I somehow missed when looking at them that they were triple slot cards instead of dual slot, but regardless I'm waiting to see if any announcements are made about new releases or if any new releases come about before I buy the real "guts" of the system

I will more than likely be adding a water cooling system to it...I'm still researching and learning about that, spending this kind of money I don't want to build a water cooling system that isn't up to par or leaks or just doesn't work and I don't really know a whole lot about setting up that aspect of things just yet

it is not strictly a gaming build and actually little gaming will be done on it...like I mentioned in the original post I will be doing a lot of video/picture editing along with several more tasks...the main point of me building something like this is because I can, though...I've been wanting to and saving to build a system like this for quite a while and now I have the opportunity to do it, so I am...I came here because regardless of my knowledge there are always people smarter, much much smarter, and more people that can put things in perspective about my plan that I haven't thought about
