Thanks for the explanations. I think I'll throw in the extra $20 and pick them as well. Worst comes to worst I'll remove them.

I'm sure everyone in the house will appreciate a slightly quieter keyboard anyways

Thanks for the positive comments on the wasd keyboards guys As for the dampeners I will probably pass since I actually like the sounds of a mechanical keyboard!

Hey guys!

The keyboard finally came in today. I ended up ordering Cherry MX Browns and I wouldn't have it any other way... It types amazing and I will never go back to a rubber dome keyboard anymore. I will type up a more formal review later with pictures when I get my new camera. But until then here is a crappy cell phone pic. I LOVE THIS KEYBOARD. Typing on it now...

If you like the sound of a mechanical keyboard, get one with cherry mx blues and dampeners. The "bottoming" out sound isn't the nice clicky sound, it's the rough sound of plastic beating against plastic. It takes away from the pleasant clicking out the blue key. All that the O-rings do is prevent you from hitting down against the bottom. It doesn't stop the clicky noise at all.

I'd be soooo thankful if someone could share audio or video with blue mx with dampeners to get a hang of it.

Nice post title. Everybody knows though you "drop the bill" on a Ducky keyboard. On a WASD you ... oh nvm.
