Does anyone know if this will fit?

Thread Starter
I need to know if I can CFX two of this card on a Gigabyte GA-Z68-UD4. If so, I might buy it.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

Also, would anyone suggest I go with the MSi Twin Frozr III instead?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...20frozr%20IIII

It has higher stock clocks (I plan to OC anyhow) and is a bit more expensive. I do, however, know that I could fit two of them. I don't think it's quite as nice looking as the ASUS.

Thanks!

You can crossfire either on that board, however both have their pros and cons.

The Asus cards should run cooler and will be quieter, but the MSI cards have a chance on unlocking. Both cards are of high build quality and reputable manufacturers.

I would get the TF3 since that's a double slot rather than a triple slot. Two triple slots would be pretty clunky in the same case. Also if you ever want to resell these cards you would probably have better luck selling the double slotted ones.

The DCUII cards would fit, but they would be sitting right on top of each other, so the top card would probably have really bad temps.

As for the MSI Twin Frozr cards, I can vouch for them being awesome.

MSI, more space between cards is never a bad thing. But whichever you choose, both of them are way better then reference.

Wow! Pretty strong support for the MSi. It's much more expensive and uglier though! Maybe that's the way I'll go. Right now I have a Sapphire 6950 and I hate it. Looking to get something different ASAP.

DirectCU cards are huge to me... it's nice for single GPU setup... but I would choose 2x crossfire with Gigabyte HD 6970 Windforce 3X Rev2. Windforce 3X max out at 70'C load 1 hour gaming session in single GPU.

*I wish my second GPU is the same gigabyte*
