A few goodies arrived yesterday...

I know whay your thinking, Another ASUS Sandy Build

Well, something about that 92% platinum efficiency was just too hard to resist.

Shot #3 is HyperX side by side with 2.5" Constellation 2 Sata III 7200rpm 500gb

Shots #4 & #5 HyperX SSD side by side with Kingston HyperX RAM
(Some may be curious how the colors compare)

A Few may be wondering why have have the Mushkin Blackline shown in shot #1... It's because the HyperX ram is for a friends build, I will be using the Mushkin Blackline in Kryptonite.

Incase you are wondering, but too lazy to look it up, here are the specs for HyperX DDR3 (shown in pic) vs Mushkin Blackline (shown in pic)

-Kingston HyperX 4gb (2gb X2)
1600 mhz @ 1.65v CL 9

-Mushkin Blackline 4gb (2gb X2)
1600 mhz @ 1.5v CL 8

PS. I promise I'll have DSLR shots w/ photobucket for the next round of updates!

.... Next Update; GPU & PSU.

Well, many hours of testing I am unable to get the post beep.

Fortunately, I have access to another sandy-asus build. After swapping cpu's, ram, and gpu's (no hdd or odd attached), I have concluded that the motherboard is defective. I have tested numerous ram types & configurations as well as swapping psu, removing mobo from case (to prevent grounding), and clearing bios after every step.

What's worse, the gp diagnostic tool gives me inconclusive numbers. Many times I have hung on error code 60, and 20, but I have also seen many others. Basically, the fans turn on and the motherboard shows life, but no post. (p8p67 WS Revolution).

Although I have googled extensively to figure out what these numbers mean, I can't seem to get a strait answer. If anyone knows I would be greatly appreciative.

It seems that my best option is to quickly return the ws revolution & exchange for a new one. I've heard great things about this board so I guess I'll stick with it. Oh well.....

Always hate when your all excited about a new build, you try it out and it doesn't work.
