Thread Starter
trying to overclock apu to up to 4.50ghz temp around 30-40 hopefully i can get it to 30 with 4.00 + im gonna put my air conditioner beside my pc

three screws in the h100 is enough to hold it
im gonna be using 3-4 Noctua fans (painted green)

http://i.imgur.com/IVBGY.jpg

i see a lot of ppl oc apus to 3.7 without h100 so maybe if i use h100 i can get it to 4.00 and higher?

i might use this mobo (im still looking for a matx fm1 mobo)http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3928#ov

case http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=291&area=usa

thats weird is there even a vent hole there or anything? are you going to cut into the case and put mesh over the hole so that the h100 can breathe?

no cuz the fans at the bottom and in the middle will push the hot air up and out the top of the case + theres holds on the side and at the top http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=291&area=usa so it can breathe heheh breathe theres a good song called that [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTbC1UsBtek[/ame]

I...hm.

While I wish you luck, I'm not entirely sure this is going to work.

But like I said...best of luck, man.

Being a owner of a Ft03 case. I think your better off trying to mod the bracket holding the middle fan since thats already a 120mm fan. That top fan is a 80mm. The bottom fan and middle fan are intake fans so i think if you could mount the h100 their it might work nicely since it gets cool air. I know for sure that the H6o can mount in the middle bracket since I tried it, but the problem with running it over their is that if you run a push pull set up, you may hit your ram.

Funny, I found this thread because I was thinking about how I would mount an H100 in this case. I still don't get what you're trying to do though. Do you own the case yet? I have one and I don't see how it'll work... at least not the way you're trying to do it.

Care to elaborate on your plans?

Like someone mentioned already, that bracket hanging down from the top is for use with either an 80mm or 90mm fan. It wont hold a 120mm rad. To be honest, I don't think the h100 rad will even fit in the case if you have it mounted horizontally.
