At Blizzard Entertainment's Gamescom press conference, Diablo III lead designer Josh Mosqueira said the developer is "very, very serious" about bringing some undefined "experience" to platforms beyond the PC and Mac.
"Today, we're trying to build the best console team at Blizzard," Mosqueira said during a Q&A session. "We're looking for programmers, designers and artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console."
Personally, I just DO NOT see Diablo III working well enough to be enjoyably playable on a modern console using a gamepad. Not to mention Blizzards recent announcement of the auction house. We all know how stingy console manufactures can be with their online service especially Microsoft when it come to XBL. Even if Diablo III were to be released on the next Xbox or PS4 I can only imagine it being better looking while still using a console controller. I know Activision would love it if Blizzard would abandon the PC.
P.S. And yes I'm aware of Diablo for the original Play Station. Didn't much care for it.
