as mentioned get a 550ti or 460, use the saved money to get a SSD. And you sure you need Blu-ray?

Yes, I will need Blu-ray as I have a decent collection of BD movies that I want to take with me, but I don't want to take my PS3 with me to the college dorm in which I'll be staying.

Also, I believe I've got my final build here:

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1155

Case: Cooler Master Cooler Master Elite 430 Mid Tower ATX Case with Window (RC-430-KWN1)

GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 550 Ti 1 GB DDR5 PCI-Express Video Card with VGA/DVI/HDMI, ENGTX550 TI DC/DI/1GD5

Motherboard: ASUS P8P67-M PRO LGA 1155 SATA 6Gbps and USB 3.0 Supported Intel P67 DDR3 2200 Micro ATX Motherboard

RAM: Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB Kit (2x4 GB Modules) 8 Dual Channel Kit 1600 (PC3 12800) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler, RR-B10-212P-G1

Media Drive: Lite-On 4X SATA Blu-ray ROM Drive IHOS104-06

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Internal Desktop Hard Drive Bulk/OEM - WD1002FAEX

Power Supply: OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W Modular High Performance Power Supply compatible with Intel Sandy Bridge Core i3 i5 i7 and AMD Phenom

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

What do you guys think? Am I good to go?

no performance difference but it will give you better options for future upgrades.
m atx boards are usually for HTPCs and smaller cases.
