Only 1 fan comes with the D14, or the Hyper 212+ ?

I totally agree with HWI. AsRock has infact improved a LOT after parting ways with ASUS.

If he has the money the antec kuhler 920 outperforms that easily. It also outperforms the noctua and silver arrow although not by much.

The 920, nocuta, and silver arrow are probably the best three on the markt right now.

If you get excalibur fans, put them on a fan controller. I have them as well, and they have beastly cooling, but when you want quiet, your gonna want to turn them about halfway down. 1600rpm seems to be a sweet spot on those. When I have my headset on and im gaming, I blast the fan speed up.

I' not tripping and i know Asrock used to be owned by Asus, but just as Lancool is owned by LianLi you can't tell me Lancools steel+plastic bezzels rivals LianLi's all aluminium cases. Also i'm speaking from experience since i had an Asrock board (~4-5 months ago)which refused to work properly from day one. I had it replaced with the one i have in my siggy which is awesome, haven't had any single issue since i first installed it.

Asrock is/was Asus's low budget with shady quality boards manufacturer. Otherwise Asus would have given up on the Asrock brand and named all their products Asus XXXXX

AsRock WERE low budget. Now they're not. You must have just had plain bad luck with that board.

Sorry if you saw my post before the edit, for some reason I thought you had said Hyper 212+ and not D14. The D14 comes with 2 fans, a 120mm and a 140mm, They are good fans and don't need to be replaced unless you're looking for maximum cooling for a high overclock.

Sorry you had an issue with 1 ASRock board, that does not make them all crap. They definitely were a low tier board when they were part of Asus, they were meant to be a budget brand. However, that is no longer the case. They have some real performers and they were even the first manufacturer to have a PCI-E x16 3.0 board.

So you are saying the Asrock Z68 Extreme4 gen3 is better than ASUS P8Z68-V?

What was your experience with Asrock boards anyway?
