Intel P8H67 LE powers up for 1 second then stops

Thread Starter
I bought a pre built computer at the weekend, and yesterday moved the internal components into a new case I had bought for it. So I've got everything into it, and when I press the power on button all the fans (case, cpu and gpu), as well as the fan and case LED's start up for about a second before stopping.

After that pressing the power on button does nothing unless I power off the PSU at the rear and disconnect the power cable for a few seconds then try again, always same result.

I'm slighty confused as the the cause. When there is power (cable in and PSU switch set to "1", the standby power LED is lit. I'm aware that doesn't help much, I just find it odd. I hope the problem lies in a loose connection somewhere, but won't be able to check until tonight.

One thing I should note is that when the pre built computer was delivered (in the original case I might add), whenever I powered it on everything would start up for a second, fall silent, and then power back up again. I've read in various places that in itself is an issue, perhaps it's developed further during the moving process?

Any help around this would be appreciated guys! Thanks in advance for any help I get.

SOLVED!

Found the source of the problem to be some RAM I salvaged from an older build.

I should also point out that the wireless network PCI card was a new component, not from the original build.
