The particular segment is actually referenced by Wikipedia. So I suggest you actually take a look at the article before making a comment like that

Funny part is this chip could produce such a machine. With luck we aren't stupid enough to give them access to everything....oh wait.....

I once read that if the google servers became self aware they'd have access to almost all of humanities history and knowledge. Fact of the matter is that this is just another branch of human development. Nuclear weapons could have ended us many times over, and still coul so really a chip that can repair itself and maybe learn...what's the big deal?

After all, can it also generate its own power, is it self sufficient? NO! Can a powerful chip like this help find cures to cancers and AIDS? YES! My cousin had to have brain surgery at 26 months old to remove a brain tumour. Thankfully it was benign and the surgey was a success...she's 9 now and sadly she'll never be 'normal' I know I'll be here to look out for here in future, but how many other people with problems like this can't say the same.

If advancements like this can help kids like her then I say let's make them and worry about policing them as and when the time comes. As long as we control the power source there is nothing a powerful 'chip' can do to hurt us!!
