http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?...Language=en-us - IDE error

http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?...Language=en-us - Won't wake from sleep

All problems I've had at some point. I've managed to fix 3 of the 4, but the RAM problem persists. And now with the GPU problem (which is almost certainly the GPUs fault), I just want to wash my hands of both components.

That doesn't look like anything resembling a quantity descriptive of much less. You should look in the mb forum and look at all the issues plaguing boards of all makes and you'll see the revo has far fewer issues. Btw, the sleep issue isn't limited to just the revo, it's an Intel thing.

This is so frustrating. What a crappy board. A quick google search turns up hundreds of results on this or other issues. Unacceptable for such a "high end" product. ASUS has lost a customer going forward.
Seriously? Hundreds?

1. I exaggerate when I'm angry. Cut me some slack. If you google "ws revolution" and the various error codes, I'm technically correct

2. They clearly haven't lost a customer, since I'm giving their higher end board a try in hopes it has a lesser chance of problems.

Perhaps it's not entirely rational to give up on the board because of experiences with one, but if I received another board with the same problem, I wouldn't be able to RMA it, because I'd throw it out the window in a fit of rage.

I'm also picking up the maximus locally, so if there is a problem, I can return it immediately rather than waiting the weeks it takes to complete an RMA. The extra $150 or so I'll have to spend (after accounting for the RMA and then resale of the exchange mobo) is worth it to me if it gets rid of this headache.

New mobo.

New 6970.

New mobo: all ram slots work. Old 6970 does NOT work. New 6970 works flawlessly.

RMAing this mobo unless someone wants to buy it (seems to be in perfect working order other than the two ram slots).
