The 8800GT Hall of Fame Club - Page 2

Bought the 8800GT the weekend it came out. Amazing performance for the price(vs 8800GTX and GTS) and size(since it was single slot)

Vmodded mine and then sold it to a friend...still kicking ass!

yeah but that was before OCN. I am talking about during the OCN era, the golden age of overclocking.

8800GT still in my main rig. Plays everything fine at 1680x1050.

Though, my 6800GS was still my favorite card of all time.

I just upgraded from my EVGA 8800GT 2 months ago to a GTX 580. My GTX 580 took a crap after owning it for 2 weeks. So I had to put my 8800GT back in and my god how hot it made my case. I never really monitored gpu temps until my 580. My 580 idles around 30c and my 8800GT idled around 50c. Plus since it was a single slot, it just dumped all the hot air into the case.

It was a great card indeed.

I have owned about 10 different G92 cards, and I have loved every one. In fact, I am building a budget rig and looking for a cheapo G92 as we speak(type).

Long live the G92!
