If you play BF then I would not actually recommend the xonars. They are decent at BF but they seem to have trouble pinpointing sound behind you (there are some guides to make it better though). Perhaps you should look at Auzentech cards, which are like higher quality XFI cards.

Cheers I'll take a look- I don't have a Sound Card at all at the moment and that's why I'm looking to get one for my new rig. Playing Bad Company 2 it's really hard to pinpoint where the enemy is coming from just using the sound, according to quite a few of my clan members having the ability to properly hear and dictate direction helps a lot and I'd like to give it a try.
