(UPDATE) [IP] Steam Offering Refund For Every Copy of From Dust. - Page 15

Wow, this game was actually the only Ubi game that had me semi-excited..
i might consider this refund.

The game is a blatant console port. Completely lacking in any form of options, (both graphical and input) with this DRM bull it's just not worth it. The levels are a "rinse and repeat" deal that even start using the same old 1 minute cinematic.

So i might just get a refund out of protest - it's a trend i don't want to see publishers start. Especially if the trigger is a mediocre title at best.

Just like SPORE; the idea was great, but the execution was poor.

If it's a title they had made an effort on, i'd probably not bother.

Yep, we're apparently still riding this wagon. Unlike some I live in the year 2011, where we have cable/dsl that doesn't require you to dial up every time you want to browse the web. Some of you should really look into purchasing a time machine, they're pretty boss!
Never had a router or modem blink out on you? I'm sure you have. Mine needs resetting at least once every couple of days. Also, my DSL line is very flakey. This always on crap wouldn't work for me.

But you know what? I was dead set against this always on DRM when I had 10mbit cable. You shouldn't need to be online to play a damn singleplayer game, or a LAN game.

My ISP was doing maintenance on my internet line, and I thought, oh, I'll just play From Dust to pass the time.

But then I

Just because you are/can be "always online", doesn't mean that games and applications that can exist without that requirement, should have it as a requirement.

Explain.

Did Origin sell this title and not give anyone a refund?

Otherwise, shut up.
