(UPDATE) [IP] Steam Offering Refund For Every Copy of From Dust. - Page 16

I have this game and won't be asking for a refund (although I think it's pretty clear at this point that this story isn't true). The game is fun, although it doesn't have much depth. It needs a map editor and / or map generator to help flesh it out a bit.

I can see why it was released at £11.99 - pretty fun while it lasts, but it doesn't last very long at all.

I think the real thing is that this always connected Internet thing is only affecting the people who actually buy the game. At most it is preventing them from doing a No-CD crack, but the only way that it can affect you is if you actually paid money for the game. It is no different than if they were to activate a gps tracking program on your phone in order to play. Does it affect me? No...but it is just wierd.

*yawn* Everyone missing my point is so cute. You're posting on OCN, you have a net connection. If your net is constantly dropping you need to man up and speak with your ISP or switch. If your router is giving you issues, there is a thing called saving money. And Viridian don't even start, if you can afford that sig rig you can definitely afford a better router/modem.

I had issues with my router and modem and I did just that, I saved my cash and bought a much nicer router/modem separate. Like I said, I could care less about the ones whining here about an internet connection, especially the ones of you with nice sig rigs. And slow? Slow internet connection? I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how fast your network connection is, the server just wants to make sure you're online.

If I can tether with my phone and keep a solid connection to my games (which I've actually had to do before because I couldn't afford cable or dsl at the time). Then I'm pretty sure its not that big of a deal. People just want something to whine about.

TTPP?

Time To Pirate Product?

of course, the illegal copies have no DRM issues.

Soon they will start to release broken games that have to be 'connected' to patch them often, or each level will be an individual download through their Game Manager GUI.

Great way to start off your sales of a new game, Terrible DRM and refunds lol

Oh Ubisoft.. tsk tsk
I just find it really annoying you have to log in twice to play, In steam then into uplay. If i would have known they would put DRM like always-on and two log ins on a 15 dollar game i would have passed. Ubisoft will now be known as Ubi$h!t.

in 3rd world countries, that options negligible . Its hard to believe, but i said the truth...

why i said expensive,.. its because sometimes in 3rd world countriy ,the ISP give you FUP limitation... like $20 for 50 hours or 1 gb per month.
