(UPDATE) [IP] Steam Offering Refund For Every Copy of From Dust. - Page 18

There have been countless issues with connecting to their servers and crashes when trying to connect which are still unresolved. Success?

And again, it is not only the connection issues but the message that Ubisoft sends by putting this in place. Apart from the people who have limited/no connection (yes, it DOES exist even though you dont think so) there are people who like to play single player games on the road while traveling, or in their hotel room without having to pay absurd internet rates just to log in to play their single player game. There are also people in the armed forces who are stationed overseas without an internet connection.

To top it off, it is a terribly glitched port. This means they took the time to slap on their DRM, which they LIED ABOUT and ninjad it in without warning, but did not have enough time to make it a half decent PC game.
I have a 24/7 internet connection, I'm the only on this planet that exists har har har

What if Ubisoft decided you HAD to be online for the XBLA version?
Not Ubisoft's fault, but if you ever have to change your 360, all the games you have downloaded from the marketplace will only be playable if you're connected to Xbox Live, the Always-ON DRM existed a long time before Ubisoft decided to use it too.

I still don't understand why DRM exists. The only DRM even passable is Steam because you get special perks when you have a game activated on it. Regardless of what you put on your game ubisoft, it's cracked the day you release it so what's the point?

From Dust never left Steam, the refund program was a rumor, Valve won' t refund you for any reason, they'll state their TOS every time you ask them for a refund, even though in the EU (for example), you have a right to ask a refund even without any specific reason for a short period of time (7 days in France, not sure about the other countries but I think it has now been standardized).

This will not end well and there will be consequences for their actions.

Also, here is a screenshot from a post that Ubisoft has since deleted from their forums. Further digging their grave.
This is literally the most melodramatic post I've ever seen on any forum anywhere. DRM isn't a big deal............. Honestly, you guys just want a reason to complain.
