going from 9800gtx to 560 gtx ti

Hi every one !
Im planning for a system upgrade and i have some questions for you ,specs :
case : antec sonata 3
gpu : 9800 gtx+ ( will be replaced by 560 ti )
psu : earthwatts 500
cpu : q6600 2.4 ghz G0 stepping
mobo : p35-s3g
Problems :
-I game at a low res (1280x1024) ,so my cpu @stock will be easily limited ,this is why i should put it on 3.2 ghz at the minimum.
-I do not have q6600's original fan but the current one is a low range coolerMaster that makes the cpu go around 80c at full load.
-Because of the size of the graphics card (28 cm), the case has one 120 mm fan installed instead of two , so that makes bad airflow.

questions :
-For the overclock would a zalman cnps 9700nt do the job ?
-the 560 ti'size is 23 cm so this will make a large space for the front fan ,in your opinion guys ,would this fan installed make good difference ?

thanks and sorry for my bad english.

An overclock at 3.2 should release the bottle neck but not completely, the zalman should do it, my old old AC pro 7 could!

If you are buying the Zalman then I would suggest that you look at the Noctua D14. instead.

I have seen ppl do 3.2 with a Cooler master hyper 212+, a much cheaper alternative. Don't buy it from Newegg though, it's 50 dolalrs there. At fry's or microcenter's i believe they're 30 dollars MSRP.

An alternative to the D14 could also be the Thermalright silver arrow.
For more detail, and some more options, that are probably more"mid-ranged" since the Silver arrow and the d14 are top notch coolers, you can always go to the air cooling forum and ask there :]

the sad part is that the 9700nt is the only alternative i have now ,but i believe that it's good cooler based on it's average rating on newegg ,so i have to know the limit of the q6600 with this cooler and inside a sonata 3 with just 120 mm fan ,before i upgrade the video card

I ran my last Q6600 on a 9700NT 3.6 no issues. I was perfectly happy with the Zalman.
