Things like short "soft" hang ups where the drive isn't responsive, but programs in RAM are. BSODs. Failure to detect drive without a full power off. Saw some posts where it would drop from SATA3 to SATA2 (in a sata3 port). From the sounds of it, 1.3 helped but didn't remove all these issues.
I read the corsair forums after I'd already ordered. It looks like they hate Marvel controllers and in general have issues with SATA3. Apparently it affects some users and not others. It's a crap shoot.
Fixes/Workarounds (while SF works on fixing it) reported on the corsair site include but are not limited to:
1) Try a different SATA cable (yellowbeard was able to duplicate that some cables "just worked" while others didn't)
2) Try shorter SATA cables
3) Try multiple SATA ports
4) Try using a SATA2 port
5) Increasing voltage on something, don't remember what offhand
Either way, love that UPS lists my drive as arriving on Sunday Edited by Nugu - 8/24/11 at 9:00am
