2500k OC Help!

I'm trying to get it to 4.6 GHZ but about 30 minutes into the tests core #4 always fails . I tried bumping up the voltage (1.315 to 1.325) but core #4 still fails. What do I do? Keep bumping up the voltage?

Put it at 1.4v and see if it fails, if not, lower it from there, most need ~ 1.35 - 1.37v for above 4.5Ghz

I'll try that and report back thanks!

EDIT:Why is the package temp so much hotter than core temps? Should I look at core temps or package temp?

I doubt it. Some chips just need more vcore than others. What is the error code your getting? you may need to drop pll or up the vtt/vccio as well.

I'm having issues getting it stable at 4.4Ghz. Right now I'm sitting at 4.2Ghz but my vcore seems high, at 1.340V atm. Whenever I try to run prime95 with 4.4Ghz I get BSOD and error 124. Did I get a bad chip? I read another guide on here regarding the p67 board, but overall settings matched up.

I had mine at 4.2ghz with only 1.255V with llc level 7, can you try those settings? I'm currently at 4.6 with 1.305 llc level 7.

What error code? It doesn't BSOD, prime and the other cores just keep going and the 4th one is just idling. Got done playing 3 hours of BC2 and it's perfectly stable! I don't know why prime fails on the 4th core. Other than prime it's rock solid and I think I'll leave it at that. I got it to boot into windows @ 4.8 and 1.4 vcore but temps were off the charts!
