Moving steam to a different HD?

Thread Starter
I want to move Steam from my C drive to my D drive. From what I understand I just need to cut and paste my Steam folder from where it is over to the drive I want? Will that also copy over the 3 games I have installed along with their saved games or will I need to do anything special to make that happen?

Thx

They will copy over with it just fine. Steam actually has a page about this on their FAQ.
there are only 2 things you need to copy:
1. steam.exe
2. the steamapps folder.

after you copy these, simply launch the exe and steam will reinstall itself to the new location

Ok thx...I was actually reading that page you mentioned while awaiting a response. I just wanted to make sure. Funny how I trust guys here more than I do the STEAM site itself, haha.
