Xonar DX + audio hardware troubleshooting.

Hey all,

I just installed my Xonar DX that I bought a few days ago. I am having a bit of trouble getting audio. Everything as far as I know is installed correctly.

I am using a Logitech Z2300 2.1 audio system (I also use a pair of HD 280 Pros). Its green audio jack is connected to the front out port of the DX. But still no audio, despite every troubleshooting technique that I know of!

Anyone able to provide their insight? I am pretty sure it is a Windows / software problem.

Are you getting audio to the back of the card?

Front out (as in front panel audio?) If so, then you need to expand the control panel by clicking the up arrow and then changing the selection 2 speakers to FP Headphone or FP 2 Speakers. If you are still connected directly to the card and not using the front panel audio, check the manual and make sure you are using the proper port. That was the big mistake I made when I first got the card.

Audio is definitely playing on your PC. I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but are your audio plugs plugged INTO the Xonar DX? Otherwise, I'm not sure if you're actually using the card. Plug it directly into the Xonar DX rather than the front audio port. Also, make sure that they're plugged into the right ones.

This worked wonders. Thanks!

I bought this card thinking that I wouldn't be hearing much of a difference. I was wrong and could not be happier.

No problem! When I first got the card I was a wondering how to change to front panel for when I use my headphones. Took a little while to figure that out myself.
