now dont get me wrong Corsair's psu's are great but this is about $20 cheaper and just as good if not better, only issue is its semi-modular not full modular. I own a TPN-750 as suggested and would not look back.

if you all ready own the corsair then nvm, build looks great.

Any one have any experience with the CU II, is the extra cooling worth the extra money?

extra cooling means you will be able to OC it and the temps should be lower then stock cooling. as always lower temps mean the longer the chip will last so its always a good thing.

6950 CUII does run at lower temps, but it is a THREE slot card if I'm not mistaken. Could be hard to SLI down the road if that's what you want to do. You may want to look into MSI's Twin Frozer II/III cards. Also, I'm not familiar with that CPU heatsink, but I do know that the Cooler Master Hyper212+ and Noctua DH-14 are incredibly popular and reliable on these forums.

Also, any particular reason you're going with Z68 instead of P67? You could probably save 10-20 bucks by getting the P67 Pro instead of Z68.

i got the z68 instead of the p67 because it actually worked out cheaper for me, as for the cpu cooler i considered both the 212+ and the noctua but the 212's cooling was not good enough for my liking and i don't like the design of the noctua so i settled on the frio which is actually a very popular cooler and one of the best air coolers for over clocking out there.
Also i want to go to crossfire down the road, will i have enough room for it? i don't really understand pci my motherboard has 3x PCIe 2.0 x16, 2x PCIe x1 and 2x PCI what's the diffrence?

You shouldnt have any problem crossfiring down the road. I would make sure that you get a 2 slot card, just to be safe. The 3 slot cards take up a lot more room if you ever wanted to use those other PCI/PCIe slots. PCIe x16 are where you would put your graphics cards. Your board will do 2 GPUs, but it will clock them down to x8 rather than x16. This is fine, and you wont notice much, if any, performance loss. You do want to make sure that you dont go with a board that will clock down to x16/x4 with 2 cards, but this isnt the case with this one. The PCIe x1 and PCI slots can be used for wireless NICs, sound cards, etc. PCI is a dying technology, but some stuff still uses it. Most of the newer stuff will be PCIe.

As for your GPU, I wouldnt plan on unlocking it. That was an ability that the reference 6950s had, but from what I am told, the non-reference ones either wont do it, or its risky. If you want 6970 speeds, go with a 6970. A lot of people on these forums see 6950 and cant help themselves to blindly suggest unlocking it.

The rest of your build looks good. I may suggest an 850 to be safe for down the road, but 750 should be OK.

Watercooling is not needed for 1155 CPU. However, if you plan to go down that road, I would choose a reference design GPU. Extremely hard to find full cover blocks for a non reference card.
