monitor 24" or 26" (1920x1200) ips/60-120hz for coding/web design/movies/games

hello,
I'm looking for a pc screen (true 24”/26” screens) around at 400usd - 800usd with the following characteristics
IPS Panel
1920x1200 16:10 Full HD 60-120hz (true)
Led / black and white is corrected, etc.
Connectivity min: DVI, HDMI, + max: Displayport
Response time 6 – 8 ms
Contrast 1000:1
Brightness 250 - 300cd/m2
Pixel Pitch 0.269 - 0,28 mm

Am over 10 hours every day on a pc screen and many times I am making sites and codes, so I need something good for my eyes so I could see the right typefaces and as much possible the details on graphics/photos and a little bit for video editing( I messed up my eyes from 2009 till now with 19’ crt iiyama hm903dt a because of it’s radiation, I’ve seen some difference in the luminosity in another screen that I tested).
Am looking for a pc screen that it would be good to work for hours without hurting my eyes so much for internet, office applications, web design. I don’t have much time for movies and videogames but when I have I want to enjoy it. So I want a screen that is good at everything, so is there any good pc screen around these prices??

Do I have to upgrade the graphics card (GeForce 6600 GT) and the motherboard so I won’t see any ghost( I mean if the graphics card is responsible too for the ghost or just the pc screen). I tried an LG 2290 and I was seeing a white contour on my cursor and it was visible only in monochrome font, the same happened and in the content slider on the letters when it was going to make a change, isn’t that ghosting too or am I wrong?

Edit that post in advanced mode and change your title to 24" because I don't think you're looking for a 24 foot screen. You'll get more help that way... as to your actual question, I couldn't tell you.

Responses in your post below in RED.

Most people probably haven't responded because you have conflicting requirements.

The Asus PA246Q and Dell U2410 have calibrated sRGB modes even though they are wide gamut, and the Dell U2412M has W-LED backlighting and is sRGB.

The U2410 and PA246Q have all the connectors you need, and U2412M is missing HDMI.

Get a calibrator like the Spyder3 Pro to calibrate the monitor to your color temperature requirements.

Otherwise you can wait for one of these, but they are not IPS panels.

Connectivity min: VGA, DVI, HDMI, + max: Displayport
Response time less than 5 m, Don't worry too much about this, you won't find an IPS panel rated for 5ms anyways
Contrast from 1000:1 and over Keep in mind, 1000:1 contrast ratio is specified by most manufacturers as 1000:1 but real-world can be as low as 600:1
Brightness 250-300cd/m2 You will burn your eyes out more if you really want 300 cdm/2 brightness or over. 250 cdm/2 is fine.
Pixel Pitch 0,28 Only a 24" 16:9 screen would give you this, but 16:10 is better for web coding in my opinion.

The Asus PA246Q and Dell U2410 have calibrated sRGB modes even though they are wide gamut, and the Dell U2412M has W-LED backlighting and is sRGB. I've read lots of things about Asus and it was one of my possible purchases. I was recommended again in the past for Dell but I haven't seen any reviews from users or any other big sites.

The U2410 and PA246Q have all the connectors you need, and U2412M is missing HDMI.

Get a calibrator like the Spyder3 Pro to calibrate the monitor to your color temperature requirements.

Is there anything correspondingly good in tn panel?
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/news_archive/24.htm#new_dell_monitors

Do you mean color corrected for D65 or another color temperature, and black to be lowest neutral? Are you working strictly in sRGB? I mean a screen that gives a real black and a real white

Don't worry too much about this, you won't find an IPS panel rated for 5ms anyways. Yes I have seen that in IPS panel is at 6 or 8 ms. In tn i've seen from 5 to 1. Am kinda worried, as I have said in the end of my previous message "I tried an LG 2290 and I was seeing a white contour on my cursor and it was visible only in monochrome font, the same happened and in the content slider on the letters when it was going to make a change, isn’t that ghosting too or am I wrong?"

You will burn your eyes out more if you really want 300 cdm/2 brightness or over. 250 cdm/2 is fine. Thanks for the tip because am kinda confused from what I've seen in the internet.

Only a 24" 16:9 screen would give you this, but 16:10 is better for web coding in my opinion. So what pixel should I look for 16:10?

And one last question. I have seen that the Ips is separated in more than one Ips panels. What is the difference in quality? And when we see the characteristics of a screen, writins "Ips" is it really Ips or is it one of the separate Ips's?
Also what is your opinion for the super pls?

CRT's are pretty good for design and development but are just horrible to look at for hours.

As above I'd probably opt for something on the higher end like the U2410, I'd look into better monitors if this is going on work expenses though.

I have done web and other types of programming at a few jobs. The ultrasharp monitors are the way to go. Do not use vga for anything above 1280x1024 because you will get white bars beside letters or the cursor. I made the manager get my computer setup with DVI and it works fine, no bars.

Also when you program get an editor that will invert the colors. So that the background is black like GVIM. It will strain your eyes much less and is more comfortable to program.

Also get 1920x1200 and not the damn 1920x1080. For programming it makes a huge difference.
