I dont think so home slice.
I'm not saying a huge majority were having issues and PC were melting. But a small few had some issues and artifacting was something I remembered because I was going to get a 550 fermi but decided on a 6850 for other reasons. If dude is buying a PC from a wholesaler then he should be really careful about what he is interested in because you know as well as I do that it's all in bulk and its all business ($$$).
He's not buying corn flakes, I'm just saying dude if your intereted in the PC then look a little closer at the hardware.
good luck

We have no idea how credible your "source" is. Quite frankly it's pretty obvious you're either 1) completely ignorant about what you're talking about or 2) making it up.

Considering just about every nvidia card is a Fermi, if there was a general problem you would think it was posted about many times in these and other forums.

Get a Fractal Define R3 with a couple 140mm/120mm quiet fans for the top and front instead of that Antec 900. Take it from my first hand experience the antec 900 is a horible cheap overpriced case that is extremely loud. It has no cable managment and no hard drive slots like the Fractal case. My Fractal Define R3 has 8 fans in it and I can barly hear it when its turned on due to the included fan controller and noise reduction coating on the inside of the case.

Even if you don't like the Define R3 I urge you to take a look at other case you won't regret it.

Also for 1200$ you should easily be able to fit an Asus p67 pro mobo + 2500k and at the very least a 6950 2gb and then have money left over to buy a decent 1080p monitor.

Anyway that's my thoughts, good luck with your build.

For an obvious gaming pc you should have went with intel.Absolutely foolish too buy into antique architecture these days. Also It looks like you did everything you could too cheap out on a hard drive.

A zalman ssd?And 16gb of ram on a gaming rig is also kind of silly, since you won't use more than 4.Then put it all in an antec 900?C'mon at least get something different than the masses.

You should be able to get a HAF 912 for half the price as that Antec 900 and the HAF 912 is a much better case.

Even though I stand by my Define R3.

HITACHI 1.5TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s - Not worth the $60+ , Unless you really need a single 1.5/2TB HDD

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 - Ok.

2x GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB - Too expensive on the egg right now.

LEPA G900-MA 900W - Why? Whyyyyy?

CORSAIR Vengeance 16 gig - Really, get 8GB. Unless you run extreme ram intensive tasks.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE - The Phenom II x4 965 has $15 off promo. Will come to less than the 955

Antec Kuhler H2O 620 (push/pull) - Ok

Zalman 32GB SSD - Not worth it. 60GB for around that price point.
Going to put together an AMD build as it seem's you want, However everyone else is right about 2500k. This is fine though if you want to add a dozer one day.

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 $55. $45 after MIR.

CPU: Phenom II X4 965 $115 w/ promo code EMCKBJB25

Mobo: Gigabyte 990FX (Same as you have) $158 Shipped.

GPU: XFX 6950 2GB $280. $250 after MIR.

PSU: SeaSonic X750 Gold 750W $140 w/ promo code HARDOCPX817A, ends 8/23

RAM: Corsair Vengence 2 x 4GB $58

CPU Cooler: Antec Kuhler H2O 620 (Same as you have) $60. $50 after MIR.

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB $58. Less with promo DEALMONGO (IDK how much less, Anyone)

SSD: Corsair Force Series 3 60GB $100. $80 after MIR.

DVD Burner: Sony $20

$1044. $974 after MIR.

Seasonic 750w Gold Class because you will be ready for a 2nd 6950, Also, It's the best of the best. That's COMPLETELY worth it. $140 for Gold Class, SEASONIC, Modular? Ya.

HAF 912 over one of my favorites the M59 because It can house larger GPU's.
