My Valor Saga

On the 12th of May i placed my Pre-Order for the Puretrak Valor mouse.
There was the post on the 24th of may from puretrak regarding the delay:
"we are gauging that the primary shipment will arrive and be cleared within the first week of June. We have been 100% assured by our logistics partner that our shipment will surpass and clear the delays by this time."

On June 13 I submitted a cancellation request after hearing almost nothing about the status of my mouse. I had not received any shipping details/tracking number or anything. I received a reply on the 16th of June saying a refund would be difficult as the mouse had been picked up that afternoon.
I thought cool, the mouse is on its way I might as well wait.

Out of the blue, on the 24th of June, I received an email apologising for the delays, saying that they were fixing some minor issues reported by the first users, but that my mouse would be sent off by friday of that week. Bear in mind I had already been told that it was on its way as of the 16th.
I was given a free upgrade to FedEx from USPS to speed up shipping.

The next day (25 June) i received an invoice from puretrak saying that the mouse had shipped and was given an invoice. This invoice said it was being shipped via USPS, not fedex, and there was no tracking number or any details.

On the 28th of July, I emailed Puretrak asking where the mouse was, i had received nothing. I asked for Fedex shipping as I was tired of waiting, or I would simply cancel my order.
On 29 July, i received another email saying that my mouse was fully shipped, via USPS.
Today on the 19th of August I have finally received the mouse.

The DPI steps are WAYY off. 500 dpi is closer to 900/1000 dpi and the other DPI levels are so high above the number settings as to be pretty much unusable.
After messing with my sensitivity and finally getting it to approximately what I normally use (50cm/360) I went to test it. I experience severe tracking issues. The negative accel is huge, i cant turn more than 45 degrees when I make a quick 180 turn. It flat out malfunctions and looks at the ground every few times also. Unusable to any decent competitive gamer with a lower sensitivity.
The lift off is most definetly not 1.8mm. After testing with serveral pads, using 1.2mm cds as my marker, the lift off is well over 2.4mm.

The build quality is terrible. The mousewheel is very loose and rattles if you shake the mouse. Red light from the sensor leaks out from around the mousewheel and makes a huge red glare spot on my monitor.
There is a very large amount of friction on my cloth pads with the puretrak perfectglides, to the point where it is difficult to move the mouse from a stop (even on a talent).

The mouse disappoints me greatly, for once i actually bought into the hype and expected something good especially with the avago 3090 sensor. The mouse was a severe let down, but even worse was Puretraks treatment of their customers.

I was blatantly lied to about the mouse shipping 3 times, then given upgraded FedEx postage, which also never happened (USPS box at the door). The mouse was originally supposed to ship on the 15th of May. Here I am 3 months later finally receiving the mouse. I can tell you now, this was my very last puretrak product. Puretrak need to treat there customers with some respect, don't just fob us off like we are idiots.

P.S. Puretrak if you read this, can you get in contact with me regarding returning the product.

that email you got out of the blue was the same email that puretrak sent to the people waiting for their valor as sort of a update on what they were doing. i got the same thing and so did a friend of mine

can't blame puretrak for the shippin' issues cause thats because of usps. it sounds like you live overseas too which means it could honestly sit at your local post office until they feel ready to deliver it. i guess thats the downfall of paying for cheap intl shipping

dunno, i use my valor everyday and can't duplicate your skipping problem. i can swipe it on all dpi settings as fast as my hand can possibly move and it tracks without any problem.... neg accel is there but it def doesn't skip or jitter..... it holds tracking

the 3090 isn't turning out to be the sensor everyone was hoping it would be. the two companies using it both had problems on release and continue to struggle getting it perfected.... even CM which had a 6+ month jump on puretrak using the 3090 is still having problems. i know mine has problems at 800dpi still even with the new firmware(s)

i don't think you were lied to bro, just included on email lists that you probably shouldnt of been based on your order status.

i actually like my valor + talent pad. when they release an update which hopefully removes the negative accel at 500, it'll be a perfect palm mouse. light, amazing shape, and good switches

I live in Perth, Western Australia. Im not so much bothered by the time taken to ship stuff to me, im used to it. But im incredibly pissed that they lied to me and kept telling me they had sent it, when they hadn't. Its just bad business practice.

I too only got my mouse 2 days ago.

And also being low senser (60cm/360) i was absolutely flabbergasted at the negative accel. Doing a 180 at slow speed is ok. Do it at the speed of which i play at it i will only turn about 100 degrees. and if i swipe as fast as i can i am instantly staring at the ground like its 1999 first gen laser mouses all over again.....

The neg accel is much worse than even a ime 3.0 at 125hz even. I dont think anyone could use this mouse who has a sensitivity over about 20cm/360.

Likewise LOD is huge atleast 3mm, and at that 3mm lvl the cursor seems to wander abount coming in and out of tracking. All this on the talent mousepad. Putting the mouse straight on my desk lowered the lod a bit and the tracking seemed to have higher malfunction speed but im not interested in playing on my desk.

Not even going to talk about the woeful dpi steps.

yeah thats similar to how mine behaves in cod4 too.

I guess most play with a higher sens and thats why they dont notice how bad this mouse actually is.

Use the 1000dpi settingand lower your sens again. People are saying that it works best.

500 is the most broken. I personally used the 1000 and just droped win sens to 3/11
