im not sure if they could do 4 GB but i think that 4 would be the perfect amount.

honestly, there is no excuse for the 580s having 1.5 GB of vram. they should have 2 GB.

this thing should have 4, and it should come with a preinstalled water cooling block. and possibly a limited edition ROG 360 radiator. or maybe a 240, but that would be stretching it.

There is an excuse, the memory interface on the 580's is 384bit... so 1.5gb or 3gb...

where the interface 256bit, like that of the 69xx's or the 560Ti, then 2gb could be accomplished.

Thats a little bit overkill i think...

I can understand that there would be limited PCB space left on a dual-GPU card, but a card such as this should really have 3gb per GPU (6gb total)

Then again, 1.5gp per GPU is more then adequate for current titles upto, and including, 1600p... This card only falls short when talking triple-wide resolutions...

This card is also aimed at the OC/Benching crowd, with that of the Matrix card also (19VRM design)
