Updated to new firmware and won't track on glass anymore. What gives?

I had to break out my mousepad to use it.

Can a firmware really change the tracking surface?

Is this happening with the default 30a firmware? The other ones focus on lowering the lift off distance, and apparently on a glass pad the lift off distance is too low to track.

EDIT: Use a mouse pad......

firmware v31 or v32 have too low lift off distance to track on anything bright, let alone a glass surface

you should stick to the default v30a firmware

The one I updated to is firmware 32.

I really love the feeling of using the mouse on my glass desk, it feels so smooth.

If I switch to 30a will it work again?

If it was tracking perfectly fine with 30a, yes.
