Need Speaker Suggestion. 5.1? (Not an audiophile)

I need some speaker suggestions, Currently have a 5.1 Ozaki Nuke28, They suck more than my older Creative speakers in terms of quality. I'm not an audiophile but appreciate good music and sound quality. Looking for a 5.1 setup, might Use EVGA / Realtek onboard sound. Budjet $100 - $150 USD at most.

+ and some speaker wire.

Edit: Oops, 5.1 my bad. I should be sleeping . But in all honesty, I think this is the best worth-while option.

Actually i think thumbhammer is on the right track though there is no reason to go with $40 Daytons for that budget (unless u had a $6x budget) and $100 for amp - hit the used market for stereo amp/avr and one could fish something decent for $40-50 and use the rest to hit used decent Infinity/Polk/JBL bookshelf speakers? $150 is possible even to fit in a 8" sub if u spot great bargains hehe

However if your part of the world does not have an active used audio hardware market i'd rather u go half decent 2.1 rather than 5.1....

thanks guys, but these would be for my computer. wanting it for gaming and movies. any chance i could get some suggestions. like brand, make and models? eg. logitech brand, etc?

I dont know much on the audio hardware market, and its not that big in my part of the world either anyway,

Logitech and Altec Lansing are 2 nice brands that have decent 5.1 sets in your price range. Honestly though, using onboard sound is not the way to go. You could pickup an Asus Xonar DG 5.1 for $13! , I just checked, and still have cash left over for a nice set of surround speakers.
