Stock i5 2500k cooler question...

Will it fit on an Intel Duo 2 Quad? (2.4GHz - LGA 775 I think)

If so, will I need separate mounting hardware?
I have the snap one

damn okay then. Any suggestions on a CHEAP cooler for the core duo 2 quad? no over clocking, completely stock, and preferably under $10, and newegg has quite a few in that price range.. any suggestions?

(I just ordered a 212 plus for my 2500k, but my client's core 2 quad is gettin a bit too hot, but she doesn't want to spend much )

I'm not sure what's available in your country and for what price but you can try a basic 120mm cooler or even a 80mm tower type cooler if you can get hold of one. They aren't too expensive in SA so hopefully not there either

That actually looks pretty good. The other one I was lookin at was: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835119090

I'm not sure which one would do better, both have the same type of design as far as the fins and heat pipes go. The box fan might do better just with its design being up against the fins like that. Not sure.
Thanks guys.
Oh, and I ended up getting $30 free from newegg and I'm grabbin a CM V8 for myself. biggrin.gif can't wait

actually that one has 3 pipes, instead of the 2 on the newegg one. But does it have LGA 775 mounting hardware and brackets?
