Even if it's the button, what does apple want them to do? For one the button would look extremely ugly if it was anywhere except directly centered... symmetry is important. More than one button isn't necessary, because there aren't any other buttons (a button dedicated to returning home is good because it's so frequently used) that would have such often usage.
Not to mention, Samsung has a touch-enabled spot on either side of the button...
The Samsung Galaxy S (original) was released in March of 2010 and has the single home button, why is Apple only now
seeing it fit to file a lawsuit?
