Which mouse?

So I have decided to go back to the conventional WIRED gaming mice...
I know I can read reviews but can you all provide more blunt suggestions to help me decide...
I now have a Wireless Logitech K800 and MX5500 revolution wireless mouse (which I love), but am sick of sitting on my couch while I use my computer and will get better response from a wired gaming mouse...

I decided on the Logitech G510 gaming keyboard especially for the on-screen LCD display to get my GPU temps on that... pretty cool...

Now the mice... I will try Razor...
Checking them out, I see Mamba, Deathadder 3500, and Imperator 2012...
I know the Mamba is old (2009)... but still expensive...
Deathadder is the cheapest and the Imperator is a bit more expensive, slightly bigger, and higher DPI...

Now I don't care for the DPI(as they are all high enough), and definitely don't want to move the mouse a mm and have it jump across the screen...

I liked the way the Deathadder felt and it looks just like the Imperator...
What are some of your personal thoughts?

If anything, I should just jump back to my Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer from 2000 ...
I do a lot of gaming especially FPS...
Any thoughts appreciated...

If your Intellimouse Explorer is still working for you then you can stick with that, they are good mice. If you wanna try out something new, the DeathAdder is a sweet mouse. It has great ergonomics and excellent tracking. I am a bit biased though, the DeathAdder is my favorite mouse and is what I use.

I am leaning that way towards the Deathadder... I do lots of FPS and remember back in the old Quake 3 days when I used to dominate with the rail gun...

Good old days with the big CRT monitors and mice with the ball...
Lots of reviews say exactly what you just stated...
I personally disliked all laser tracking especially when it started 'jumping' when you moved the mouse too fast across a surface...
I will also purchase the Razor Mouse Pad to hopefully avoid such...

I'd go for the deathadder. Has a flawless sensor. I've had mine for 3 years now but it is starting to break down.

On another note, if you are spending that much on a Logitech g510 keyboard, I'd go for a mechanical keyboard instead. I don't see the justification of spending that much on a membrane keyboard.

Price isn't an issue as I will get these on a discount...
What's so great about mechanical keyboards?

I see that they last longer, have a click... but is it really that good?

I have G510 keyboard and don't recommend it for anybody, especially not for fps gamers.

I have a Deathadder and a Xai. I like the shape of the deathadder better but I seem to get more kills in fps' with the Xai.

Good reviews for the Deathadder so I will definitely go for that tomorrow...

As for the G510, I see some good reviews online, but it takes a while to get used to...
Your comments are leaning me away from it...
I like the LCD and also backlit which is pretty important for me as I will be gaming in a dark room...

Here is my setup so far...
The laptop will go and I will be purchasing a 27inch 120HZ monitor...
I know speaker placement will be off but I will use the headset for gaming to correct that...

Mechanical keyboards just feel better to type on than membrane keyboards. I felt like my performance went up in gaming and my typing accuracy went up when i got a mech keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are also well made. It's all about how it feels though and how the key will jump back up faster than a membrane keyboard. And when you game, you will rarely look down especially if you play fps games. you'll have all the hotkeys memorized in a few hours.
