Since Microsoft essentially wants to buy the market to get rid of Android, I guess we should all stop buying Windows then!

What I meant about "ethics" was human trafficking, slavery, etc. Not business ethics, because nearly every business breaks those. No company is clean.

If you want to be a "righteous consumer" who is against greed and all the evils of this world, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything to buy!
I don't approve of Apple's doings, in fact I condemn them. But I'm not going to stand around and pretend like every other company doesn't do it.
So, your argument is that MS wants to buy out the competition legally is as bad as Apple trying to kill the other businesses using falsified evidence?

You're right, it was a bad example, I just don't care enough to dig up a legitimate example. It's not really the point.

It seem that I'm being misunderstood, which is probably my fault. I'll just bow out of the argument.

Based on everything so far, it certainly does seem EU is pro-apple. Heck if I knew any better, apple is probably helping them burrow out of their insane financial crisis with a little kickback of 'sorts'.

I kinda want to find the theme Samsung used for their phone, and use it on my iPhone 4 just to stick it to them.

But twice now they're cited inaccurate evidence? wow..

They did the EXACT SAME THING with both the Galaxy S and the Tab. There is no doubt they did it on purpose. They rezised both to fit the dimensions of their respective Apple products and had the App drawer open to make it look like the Apple products' home screens. And this is in cases where it is all about the looks of the products. Id love to hear the Apple defense now...

At least it looks like they kept the proportions this time so things dont look out of round!

If they weren't based in the United States Apple would not get away with their cheap tactics and unreasonable patents. Don't harm the big taxpayers of the country!

Yet another reason OCN'ers aren't Apple fans.

We should make a list of why we're not fans of Apple.

I'll start.

1. They innovate existing products, and prevent others from innovating.

2. They are using ludicrous patents to prevent innovation, in an attempt to monopolize a market.

3. Apple products are mostly overpriced.

4. They lock down their devices, as if we are leasing them, rather than owning them.

5. We build PC's, and choose every part. Where buying a Mac means you are stuck with the hardware and limited expensive upgrade choices they give you.

6. Lack of flash support on Ipod Touch, Iphone, Ipad.

7. Falsifying evidence in court cases.

8. Patenting General designs. This one is not directed at Apple, but towards the patent system that granted it in the first place.

Feel free to add to the list, so the apple fanatics quit saying that we blindly hate Apple.

I own Apple products, and have even considered getting the Iphone 5 when it comes out, but after much consideration I'll be getting an Android phone most likely.

So they resized it to show how ridiculously similar the designs are and that's inaccurate?
Patents do not allow for simple changes like making it bigger so I see no problem with this from a legal standpoint
