well def determined the it was the live view, totally new to me

BUT

now im worried about the weird shutter sticking

i took a pic this morning [or tried to] and the shutter opened but didnt close, stayed open for about 20 seconds before i shut the camera off to shut it down.

what could this be? again i wasnt in bulb

Do you have Mirror Lockup set? I would suggest clearing all of the settings in-camera and trying again.

This. Restore all settings to default.

It's normal, you have a very slow shutter speed and it sounds like that on my 60D as well.

haha ok, the other night i was downtown and met a cute chick who turned out to be a photographer with a 60D as well she messed with my settings and crap so its probably her fault lmao!
