OPEN BOX GPU [Newegg]: Asus TOP 768MB

Hi everyone,

So I just bought two Asus TOP 768mb GTX460s open box from Newegg. I did a quick Unigine Heaven DX11 bench and found out (unfortunately) that one of my cards is dead. It crashes every time I start anything that is 3D (it loads up to windows fine). The reason I can tell one of the cards is bad is because I tested each by itself and one works fine with Unigine/games and the other just... gives me BSOD.

Next thing... RMA to Asus or Newegg? Suggestions?

RMA if you got a good price on it because Newegg will just refund your money.

I see. Hm, do you happen to know how much the RMA process would cost? Is it free shipping to and from usually?

Before you go through rma/refund.

First, contact asus and confirm your warranty status. Sometimes, those newegg open box asus cards with white plain boxes are refurbished. refurb only carries 90 days, so if they carry full 3 years warranty, go ahead and request rma from asus.

I see! Okay. I just sent them an email for the warranty confirmation. Thanks a lot and I will update this post to show what my process is like.
