it's not top of the line but it is great for what it does.
and it will play everything i play maxed out when the a8-3850 is paired with a hd6670 in dual-graphics mode.

and FM1 will be compatible with the new trinity apu's coming out. trinity is supposed to bring 800 cores to their new integrated graphics, have bulldozer-based architecture, and they will probably up the compatibility with discrete cards to higher than a 6670. maybe even do "triple graphics" so we can crossfire 2 lower end cards and have the integrated graphics work as well.

and i've seen them overclock pretty well, so if i ever really do want that performance boost, i can achieve it to some extent.

I guess I'm not prepared to throw all my eggs into this apu/crossfire basket yet and deal with driver problems that come with virgin tech and architecture for sub 840x4 performance.
I do hope the games that your looking forward to utilize crossfire and sli better then some in the past! wink.gif

Thread Starter
i haven't heard of any bugs or driver problems yet with these new chips.

and i'm not too worried about the performance i'll be getting with llano....amd is saying trinity apu's will have a 50% increase in performance...which would mean a processor completely capable of playing new games and the graphics to back it up as well. couple that with dual graphics on a better discrete gpu more than likely, and you got yourself one cheap-as-hell gaming rig that will perform more than well enough for my needs.
