Computer freezes.

Hello,recently my computer has started freezing about 2-4 times a day,what could cause that? i suspect its the hard-drive..

It would also be a good idea to run Memtest.

Are you overclocking your memory at all? Running at stock timings?

My CPU is overclocked.. the memory is underclocked actualy.. 1520 instead of 1600 and are running in stock timings.
What should i run in HDtune?error scan?
Edit: in HDtune there is a one warning in the Health tab.

When a computer freezes it can mean anything, really. You have to narrow it down/eliminate any recent changes.

You said your CPU is overclocked and the memory is underclocked. I'd set your entire system back to stock and see if the issues stop. I'm willing to bet it's one of those two causing issues (or maybe even both).

If you suspect it's the HDD you can run a chkdsk.

Open up CMD and type sfc /scannow

Im running like that for about a year now so i don't think thats the issue..

i tried running chkdisk but it says:
"Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."

i will run HDtune now.

i have just started the error scan in HDTune and there was an error at the first block..
and there is probably more,does that prove that the HDD was causing the freezing?
