Could be, do you have Windows defrag you HDD automatically? Might just need a defrag, or it is bad.

Yeah,i have scheduled defrags,i will try to defrag after the error check,if after the defrag its still like that, does it mean the hdd is the problem and it will be on the way to the dumpster?

It's highly possible, I had a HDD go bad on me about a year ago, same symptoms.

Since SFC isn't working correctly, you can try a scheduled disk check on next restart. Open Computer, right-click on
this partition (local disk), click Properties, click the Tools tab, click
Check Now, schedule a disk check for the next time your computer starts, restart, and then let the check run its test.

If that works, try running sfc again. If it doesn't work, it's most likely a HDD going bad

Sounds like the HDD is on its way out, my friend.

I experienced weird freezes but also BSODS.

What i did to investigate:
- run HD tune PRO error check
- run memtest for 13 cycles

At this point nothing suspicious turned out, every test was fine and then i remembered that i actually undervolted the CPU so i quickly went to the BIOS and set everything to default.

The freezes stoped but i still got BSOD (the BSOD just flashed and the PC restarted) and from lots of googling i found out that this might be caused by not having Page File Size enabled (and i only have 2 Gb of RAM). After re-enabling pagefile size the BSODS stopped.

All this things might not be the source of your problems but i thought i'd give you some ideas.

PS: memtest86+ can be run off a bootable thumb stick but you have to download - Auto-installer for USB Key (Win 9x/2k/xp/7)

If you're going to run memtest to be sure, make sure you run it with each individual stick. Don't run it with all the sticks in the slots at the same time, that does not produce correct results.

Can you post a screenshot of HDTune's Health tab. "One warning" doesn't tell us much. The warning could indicate impending failure, or it could be nothing.

(But considering your other observations, the drive is probably failing.)
