U2311H getting replaced with U2312HM? - Page 4

Well, a lot of people complained about the U2311H's having a loud buzzing noise depending on brightness setting. I assume that's gone since the new model doesn't use CCFL backlighting.

What about tint? Is there a blue / yellow tint on the sides of the screen when you look at them from an angle?

Except it performs on par if not better than the majority of "2ms" monitors when it comes to actual performance.

Fail.

Hi. I'm planning to buy Dell U2311 or U2312HM but I can't find any comparision of these two. Price is almost the same. Power consumption is not priority for me so what will be better choice?

Thanks!

I haven't used the U2312, but my U2311 is perfect for BC2, WoW, TF2, Rift, watching films, photography etc etc

no buzzing, no back light bleed, no patchy mis-match with certain colours or uneven back light.

Mine really is perfect lol

What revision of the panel you got if I may ask? Im also thinking about it ...

Yes i also have u2311h, just a week, but i am completely happy with it.
i downloaded from tftcentral colour profile made with some kind of colour meter and this gives a little bit deeper blacks and better whites, also using custom colour profile in monitor menu. This is the best settings if you need to see the most accurate colours.
I also think, the the new 2312 is worse, because of Led. This gives good ergonomic, bet not colour. Also there are few reviews mention this, that blacks on 2312 is more grey, not black comparing to older u2311h.

I havent experienced any glow problems, no weird sound with the brightness either. about the tint, Im not too pro at this so in my opinion i haven't seen any tints that were off. is there any way to tell if it's not how it's supposed to be? also with regards to the whites and blacks I haven't realized it either. again I ask is there any way I can find out if it's right or not?

This is the only article I have found so far comparing the 2 monitors ... not sure how reliable, but gives some info

http://www.f-paper.com/?i931739-Imag...s-Dell-U2312HM

Still deciding between the 2 models / waiting for more reviews or input from former users, but cannot wait so much since u2311h will be harder to find on shops as the time goes on ...
