BIG A** EDIT O_O: I would like to let everyone know that while this is my build I have NOT assembled it yet. I have all of the listed parts, so some things may be subject to change... I can't overclock something that is not put together yet can I? So you can consider this as somewhat of a Rough project and if some things can be change then lets do it

What are we comparing it to? It definitely has some stuff I don't understand why they are there [i.e. 3GB 580 with a single 22" monitor], but I'll rate it as a 5 or 6? (as an OCN system)

I'm rating it 5, because you didn't state what productivity you do to warrant a 970 over a 2600k, especially considering how much you could have saved. Also, a 3Gb card is slightly overkill at sub-1080p. G1 Sniper is slightly expensive, but it's a good board.

Overall, it's a nice build, but could have cut significant cost going Sandy Bridge

Looking at just performance (not price) I would go 9 (which isnt in the poll). -1 for a 22" monitor with that gpu. Also, is that SATA 3Gb, or SATA rev. III? I hope it's rev III
post #6 of 166
I give it a 5-7. LGA1366 is last generation and you'd have got so much more with Sandy-bridge. The only CPUs to go for on LGA1366 are the Xeons and perhaps a 980X/990X.

Yeah that 3GB video card makes sense on a 22" monitor
post #9 of 166
A 3GB card is better for bigger monitors and you could have bought a nicer and cheaper case, friends dont let friend buy thermaltake.

I rate 4.

Yes that i SATA 3 for both drives and the Seagate is 7200 RMP with 32 MB cache.

Excuse the monitor... I want an LED 24" or slightly bigger but for now I need to keep the one I have... its a long story -_-
