Does the Corsair AX1200 have Diodes/Resistors On its Cables?

Thread Starter
I am looking for a new PSU for a new PC build and many ppl recommend the AX1200 but i want to braid most of the cables if i can but i was reading a few Silverstone Strider Plus 1500w reviews and noticed they have resistors just before the PCI-E Plugs. Which would get in the way when trying to braid! Does it have the same on the AX1200?

I know the AX1200 has ferrite beads around the PCi'E but this isnt a problem

Also im looking for an upgrade when ivy bridge hits so a while yet, so do you think a new corsair psu will be out by then or just go with AX1200?

Regards

They aren't resistors, they're capacitors.

And if a PSU has ferrite beads on its cables, it usually doesn't have capacitors. It's a one or the other type thing.

OEM for Corsair ax1200 is Flextronics.
Wait for seasonic x1250,

it'll be better than corsair ax1200,antec high current pro 1200.

1000w will be more than enough for 2x gtx680 OC sli + i7 3930k OC,
You can try upcoming Seasonic platinum series 1000w psu.
Hope this helps.

I think people may be getting over-hyped over the X1250...

And I know that Antec at least has further plans in that direction.
