'Dear Customers,

This is Robert Rich, President of OnSale. We appreciate your patience and apologize to our customers for any inconvenience related to unfulfilled orders for HP Touch Pads.

As a result of an unintended and unprecedented event, the dramatic price reduction in the discontinued HP Touch Pad which occurred over this past weekend, we received orders so quickly over a couple of hour period on Sunday that we were not able to properly process all of these orders.

At this time, we regret that we have determined we will not have sufficient clarity in a timely manner regarding additional availability of product to allow us to fill remaining unfulfilled orders. Unfortunately as a result, we are now cancelling unfulfilled orders and expect this process to be completed shortly. Customers whose orders are being canceled will receive a cancelation notice via e-mail. No credit cards have been charged for any unfulfilled orders.

Again, we are truly sorry for any inconvenience to customers and please accept our sincere apologies.
''

If your funds have been withdrawn, you should be ok.

dont hate B&N,
HATE ONSALE
Onsale at least had stock. They are putting up public announcements regarding their general state. If you don't want to deal with the waiting game then call and cancel, they aren't making you do anything.

There was dozens of sites that got slammed this weekend and oversold. The general reaction seems to be "boycott xxx," at this rate everyone should boycott everyone not named amazon. From the way this weekend unfolded everyone should be well aware that any order you place is a YMMV and treat it as so.

B&N on the other hand was quite the BS given that it went live over the weekend, but they claimed they were only filling orders from last week.

So true,

imagine your office staff, order fulfillment department, shipping department... all trying to handle thier daily normal work load then having this bomb drop on them Monday morning...

let them have 48-72 hours to let the dust settle and deal with this.

If your mad at anyone, be mad at HP.

How many people actually had funds taken out and not just a pending authorization? That is what I've had since Sunday. All I can do is hope and if it works out then great, if not, then I missed out on another deal! ;o
