Yes I do. The fact is updates for the current dead hardware is not going to happen.

HP has stated that they might outsource WebOS for new hardware from different hardware vendors. But they will no longer support and continue their own hardware. Hence this tablet for $100 will be a bit pointless with no more updates and no more developer support.

dude do you realize the $100 knockoff tablets from China are total garbage compared to this...

Its a good deal for $100 any way you cut it, and I am almost positive there will be a community like HPTouchPadFans.com that will have firmware updates all the time.

It isn't the iPad but yet it is feature rich and will browse the web and do alot of things well. It will be fine for alot of wives who want tablets for ereaders,youtube,facebook.etc.

he is just salty he blew money on his tablets and is mad that were not getting inferior hardware for a fraction of the cost. so hes trying to compensate and make himself feel better about the situation by hating on this product

I was up from 2 in the morning and i have yet to actually get through SMB. Those selfish people who bought like 20 tablets, go die in a hole.

I'm sorry but I just can't see it being a good deal for the long run. Not with official developer support going out the window. No more updates to Facebook, Twitter, games, OS bugs, etc. I guess for $100 it would make a nice toy. But I'd much rather have a device that I know will continue to get OS updates, official third party developer support and such. I doubt HP will keep the WebOS store up and running much longer. At least not until they finally decide on what they are going to actually do with the OS.

I guess I should mention that I also had one of these HP tablets. It didn't hold a candle to Android or iOS hence the fact that it's now dead.

thank you for your opinion but android is already released for this device, hence your opinion becomes invalid
post #447 of 2164
People who buy this TouchPad are probably hoping to load Android on to it.

People buy the TouchPad to get Android (Honeycomb) on it. Why else to buy one?
