Get them while they're hot!
IMPORTANT: HP's price drop will take effect August 20, 2011.
EDIT: SlickDeals.net has a tricky way of getting TouchPads into US soil. Thanks, ForumViewer!
Update: There have been reports of orders not getting through due to the traffic and overwhelming number of customers. Tread carefully.

EDIT 2: Best Buy will be stocking its remaining inventory of TouchPads starting tomorrow, 1 SKU per person. Thanks, AMDPhenomX4!

I almost want to buy a few and resell them but I know I won't make any money once everyone discovers this.

That's cheap.
My speculation states.. They're doing this for publicity.

No, they're doing it because Best Buy stocked a ton of them and barely sold any. Then they made HP take all the stock back.

Poor marketing, poor real-world performance despite WebOS being a very capable multitasking OS.
If this can be crammed with CyanogenMod or Honeycomb, I'll be getting it.

Somewhat of a good deal if all you want to do is surf the web, but sucks for the guy I saw trying to sell his for $250 on here though :/

Yeah, AFAIK there's been no hacking progress on it, so I'll just stick with the Nook Color.

I have a 16GB TF, and I'm considering buying one of these for $99.
It's not like they're all of a sudden broken and won't work just because HP is pulling the plug on that segment...

Retailers are making an early start implementing the price drops, while HP's online store seems to take time setting the price much later.

Just wait, bro. HP will drop the price beginning tomorrow, so expect the online retailers to reflect the sale price at that time.
