6950 or 570... that is the question - Page 5

The 570 will have a slight performance upperhand in games along with being able to fold and physx. The 6950 will be better suited if you are gaming via multiple monitors or also double your rig as an HTPC.

I've flopped between ATi and nVidia all of my gaming career. This time the 6950's were what I needed and the 570s weren't going to do what I wanted. If you are looking for strictly performance/benchmarks, get the 570.

If you are interested in BF:BC2 and Crysis 2, then Nvidia cards will do better than their AMD counterparts.

Just about anything will run Battlefield 1942 no problem - even integrated Intel.

haha yea i know thats why i live BF 1942 haha, a microwave can run it lol...

well this build is about a month off, maybe by then prices will have come down a little, and i will have saved a little more. i wanna stay as close to $1000 as i can... the question im faced with is the extra performance that the 570 will give me worth the extra money...

Ooohhh... Just realized they are out of stock. They were in stock for a long time, though, and I bet they come back soon.

but the 6950 should, or maybe i should say, will do fine with all those games you want to play. both cards (570 and 6950) are priced well so both got the same, good performance/price ratio. its just the question if you need that extra bite from 570, or not!

570 is better and there isn't a risk it won't unlock so get the 570. I did and I'm extremely happy.

I hear BF3 alpha was using 1+ GB of Vram so that's something to consider. Not sure how truthful it is..
